Welcome!

Honeyduke kittens

Welcome to Honeyduke Rats, a small rattery based in Preston, Lancashire. I aim to breed long lived, healthy rats with wonderful temperements, in agouti and black and in both top ear and dumbo. Honeyduke rats is run by me, Stacey Cochrane, a rat lover who's been smitten by these amazing creatures for quite a few years now. Breeding isn't something I enter into lightly, and it's only due to the continued support of many good friends (be they breeders or not) that I feel I can contribute something to the community that has given me so much already.

I am a member of the North of England Rat Society, and also a member of the committee - trying my hand at publicity. The society mainly have shows across the north of England, but will also help people in other parts of the country organise shows in their area through the recently founded Pet Initiative.

Honeyduke is not yet registered with the NFRS (will be shortly!), and is the name that I give to my rattery, and the the rats born here.

Thanks

None of this exciting venture would be possible without the help of a very special group of people who have given me so much support. Specific thanks must go to Alison Campbell, Lloyd Allington, Jemma Fettes, Lisa Maurin and Mary Giles, who are prepared to share not only their dream with me, but also their rats as the very foundation of Honeyduke. Thanks should also go to; Laura and Helen Elfleet, Lilly Hoyland, Alison Triggs, Kyra Murray and Annette Rand who not only share my love of rats, but are also breeding with tabi line rats and have given support and advice throughout.  I would also like to thank Beri Instone and Hannah Field for helping to correct my awful spelling and grammar! The biggest thanks has to go to my long suffering other half, Paul, who puts up with all my rat ramblings, and doesn't mind sharing his home with a whole host of the furry littly blighters.
